Most of these came from letters that my family sent from Poland and Austria.

The 1941 Copper Wheat Penny. The oldest coin I have right now.

The 1944 copper wheat penny.
1943 Steel Penny
In 1943 the war effort in the US needed copper for shell casings. The penny that year was made from steel covered in Zinc. A rather cool penny but not worth all that much. I have a few of these in my collections.
